Motors Matter!
7 June, 2006 | 08:30 AM-12:00 AM
PSNH Energy Park in Manchester, NH
Training Overview
Rushed decision making after electric motor failure can be costly, resulting in higher operating costs, poor equipment performance and unreliable service. This can be prevented by the implementation of a motor management plan to avoid pressured decisions and costly downtime. The program covered the development and implementation of a Motor Management company policy and plan to save energy dollars. Such a plan looks at motors, VFD?s and a ?Systems? approach toward optimizing motor driven processes. Included was a workshop on the Department of Energy?s MotorMaster+ software package (free to attendees), making correct repair / replace decisions, and acquiring Utility rebates for purchasing NEMA Premium Efficient motors.
