Maximizing Efficiency of Your Building Shell
25 April, 2006 | 08:30 AM-12:00 AM
PSNH Energy Park in Manchester, NH
Training Overview
One of the most important steps you can take in improving energy efficiency is to improve your building shell -- the area that stands between you and the outside which includes the ceiling, walls, windows, floors, and foundations. This is key to controlling heat loss, sizing equipment appropriately, and evaluating renewable energy options. This workshop covered the basics of properly insulating these areas to provide a comfortable, efficient workplace. It also provided information on how to help defray the cost of building shell improvements by taking advantage of federal tax incentives and utility programs.
