Training Overview
This 1-day workshop included an introduction to process heating and process heating equipment such as furnaces, ovens, dryers, heaters, kilns, etc., used by the industry, and application of the Process Heating Assessment and Survey Tool (PHAST). PHAST provides an introduction to process heating methods and tools to improve thermal effi ciency of heating equipment. The software provides instructions on how to obtain the data for each step with commonly available instruments— without affecting production. It also supplies data on the thermal properties of commonly processed materials.
